ICON Park hosts quarterly enlistment ceremonies for future soldiers

Active, retired military eligible for special ticket offers

ORLANDO, Fla. (August 31, 2022) – ICON Park is proud to partner with the United States Army Central Florida Recruiting Company to host quarterly enlistment ceremonies for dozens of future soldiers.

The ceremonies are an opportunity for the future soldiers of the U.S. Army and their families to have a memorable moment before embarking on their journey to basic combat training. It takes a great amount of courage to do what our soldiers do, and many of these great men and women have to leave their families behind as they go to defend our country.

To commemorate their great sacrifice, ICON Park offers active military four complimentary tickets to its signature attraction, The Wheel. Service members and their guests can take in the views of the City Beautiful from 400 feet high in their private, air-conditioned capsule.

All retired military veterans and first responders can receive a free ticket to The Wheel and 50 percent off for one guest ticket. Proper identification is required.

The first enlistment ceremony to take place honored SSG Ventura, Lilliana M. of the United States Army. She was transferring out of the Army to join the United States Space Force. She was joined by Central Florida Recruiting Company Commander CPT Thomas, Jocelyn. Ventura was excited to hold her ceremony for friends and family at one of her favorite local spots, ICON Park. She’s now proudly a TSgt Guardian in the United States Space Force specializing in Intelligence Analysis.

Current schedule of ceremony dates:

  • 1, 2022 – 6 p.m.
  • 4, 2023 – 11 a.m.
  • June 3, 2023 – 6 p.m.
  • 11, 2023 – 11 a.m.
  • 5, 2023 – 6 p.m.

“ICON Park is proud to celebrate the brave men and women who protect and serve our nation,” said Gregory Fornadel, manager of strategic partnerships and community engagement. “It’s an honor to be a part of their first step on this journey.”
