What’s New at ICON Park in 2020?

As the clock ticks down on 2019, we at ICON Park are looking fondly back on all the incredible things that happened this year. From changing our name (for the last time, we promise) to welcoming new members of our family, it was truly a landmark year here at Orlando’s Hometown Playground.

So far, 2020 is shaping up to be even more exciting! As we party into the new decade, we’d like to give a sneak peek at the remarkable milestones and highly-anticipated new attractions we have on tap!

Turning the Big 5

The Wheel At ICON Park

In April of 2020, ICON Park will celebrate its fifth birthday (so we hope you’ve started planning our surprise party)! Even if you haven’t, we’re already cooking up an exciting list of surprises throughout the year to celebrate!

One surprise we’re the most amped about will COMPLETELY CHANGE the way you have fun here at ICON Park. This entirely new, super cool, one-hundred-percent can’t-miss opportunity… is coming in early 2020. We can’t tell you too much yet. But let’s just say, you’ll never play, party, or own the sky in the same way again!  Stay tuned!

Blake Shelton’s Ole Red

Ole Red Orlando

In Spring 2020, one of country music’s biggest stars will bring a little piece of Nashville’s southern style to Central Florida. We at ICON Park are shining up our cowboy boots for the grand opening of Blake Shelton’s Ole Red Orlando. The Grammy-winning artist’s world-renowned concept packs the fist-bumping energy of a chic nightclub into the irreverent atmosphere of a hometown bar.

At this high-class honkey tonk, you’ll scoot your boots to live performances from the hottest names in country music, and sink your teeth into some reimagined Southern cuisine. Party people and country folk alike won’t want to miss this foot-stompin’ addition to the ICON Park family.

The Orlando Gyro Drop Tower and Orlando Slingshot

Orlando Gyro Drop Tower and Orlando Slingshot

As you probably know, ICON Park is already home to the two tallest attractions in Orlando. We’re proud to announce that two more giants will joining our sky-scraping family in late spring of next year.

Standing some dizzying 400 feet tall, the Orlando Gyro Drop Tower will snag the title of the World’s Tallest Drop Tower when it opens in 2020. This record setting attraction will let adrenaline junkies take a 40-story free fall through the Central Florida sky.

Right next door, the Orlando Slingshot will catapult the strong of stomach at 300 screaming feet in the air! Also claiming the title of World’s Tallest, this attraction will be a must-do for thrill seekers everywhere.

Be sure to join us for a truly iconic 2020 here at ICON Park, Orlando’s Hometown Playground.
