Summer days are drifting away here at ICON Park, and as Orlando’s Hometown Playground, there’s no better place to have some fun in the Florida sun. With a whole host of cool indoor attractions, top-notch eateries, and some totally jumping night spots, this is the place to party like it’s Summer 2020 (because… it is!). With all of the ways you can beat the heat here, we thought it might be helpful to prepare an Official Guide to summer at ICON Park. You’re welcome.

AC Adventures
Florida may be THE place for summer vacations , but let’s be real. Most of the time, it’s just too darn hot to have “fun in the sun.” Luckily for you, ICON Park has some pretty chill ways to take the heat off and unleash your sense of play. Inside The Wheelhouse, you can take a refreshing dip into an ocean wonderland at SEA LIFE Orlando Aquarium or walk the red carpet through your own hit summer blockbuster at Madame Tussauds Orlando.
If you want to enjoy all the sights and excitement of the great outdoors without breaking a sweat, then you’ll want to take to the sunny skies aboard The Wheel. Inside a private, air-conditioned capsule, you and your party pals can take a spin 400 ft. above the City Beautiful. If you’re feeling especially celebratory, grab yourself a cold brew or chilled bottle of bubbly to upgrade to The Wheel’s Sky Bar experience. Trust us, you’ll be glad you did.
Cool Confections
Here at ICON Park, we firmly believe that summer has one basic purpose: an excuse to eat LOTS of ice cream. At Ben & Jerry’s you can scoop up some deliciousness with a long menu of great flavors. Personally, we’d recommend a two-scoop combo of Chocolate Fudge Brownie and Salted Carmel Blondie (it’s like three desserts in one).
Whatever your pleasure, there’s no tastier way to cool off. If you need another excuse to get your sweet tooth on, National Ice Cream Day is coming up on July 19th. Mark your calendars!
Grilling and Chilling
Nothing says summer quite like a classic cookout. Our friends over at Shake Shack have saved you the trouble of firing up the grill by serving up some mouthwatering burgers and hot dogs charred to perfection. What’s more, this month only, Shack Shake is serving up free fries to anyone with a ticket for The Wheel. What does that mean? Your summer just got a whole lot yummier!
Summer Nights
Once the sun sets on Orlando’s Hometown Playground, we’re just heating up for a whole nighttime of partying. We recommend grabbing a bite at any of ICON Park’s dynamic dining experiences. Whether you make it a taco night at Uncle Julio’s, pop in for a Spanish fiesta at Tapa Toro, or get your “just desserts” at Sugar Factory, there’s bomb bites on hand for every set of taste buds. Top your night off with some live tunes from Tin Roof or the all new Ole Red, and you’ve got yourself a summer night that would make even Danny and Sandy jealous!
Safety in the Sun
With all the craziness going on, we know that this summer has looked a little different for many of our friends, neighbors, and visitors. To make sure both your family and ours stay safe during this time of sunshine and celebration, we’ve implemented and enforced some new policies to keep us all happy and healthy while having a great time.
