We at ICON Park have had a lot of fun sharing with you all of the exciting ways we’re getting in the holiday spirit. While we love trimming the tree and lighting lights, our favorite Christmas tradition, by far, is giving back to the community we call home.

For 25 years, the Baby DJ Program has brought the joy of giving to homes in dire need of some Christmas cheer. Founded by legendary 106.7FM personality Johnny Magic, this annual event has brought joy to hundreds of local families. ICON Park is excited to host the Baby DJ for the third year in a row.

Between Tuesday, December 17 and Friday, December 20, you can drop by a gift of $10.00-value or more at the Guest Services Desk inside the Wheelhouse.  All donations are appreciated, as we’ve set a pretty high goal this year. About 400 ft. high!

By the end of the week, we’re hoping to have filled an entire capsule of The Wheel with holiday presents for families in need.  Be sure to tune in to Facebook Live on December 19 as we stream our progress in meeting this goal. Detroit of the Johnny Magic Morning Show will be on hand to help us #fillthecapsule and hype everyone up for the holidays.

On December 20, ICON Park will host the Salvation Donation Rotation event. For every ticket to The Wheel sold that day, we’ll donate a dollar to the Salvation Army. Of course, the iconic red kettles will be on hand to support your personal donations. Those who donate $20, $50, or $100 that day will have the chance to ride The Wheel with the Salvation Army Captain himself. That’s a holiday high point for sure!

No doubt about, the true spirit of the season is alive and well this week at ICON Park. So, come on over and spread the joy of Christmas with us here at Orlando’s Home for the Holidays.
